Hello World!

My name is Toadie! Folks love to shorten it to Toad or Terd. I create content on YouTube and Twitch, mostly centred around strategy and management games. I excel at breaking down the basics of games for newcomers and focus on aesthetics when possible without ignoring function. When not providing tutorial-style content I aim to bring positivity and laughter forward and highlight the good things in life. The spaces I create are zero pressure and inclusive of all people who have kindness in their hearts.

My love of gaming began with the SNES and Sega Genesis, flourished through the generations of Pokémon, and is now thriving with Cities: Skylines, Rimworld, Stardew Valley, and other games in adjacent genres. There’s so much to love about gaming. It helps turn my brain off when I need a couple hours to check out. It gives me something to discuss with others and share a passion for. It led me to consuming and creating content, which led me to other, like-minded people that share my interests, hobbies, and cares.

I have the calmest, most grounded and kindest spouse on the planet. You will see him around my cspaces as DrGunt. He brought his fiercely loyal and incredibly talented daughter into my life, who you may see stop by as Vetrasama. We must also introduce the pets and where else to start than with Brutus, our giant bear of a dog. Then we have Facetious and Friend, our grey and orange cats, both chubby and absolutely inseparable. You may also see references to our old cat Thomas who left us in July of 2021. He was a haggard old man who loved to tell us where to go and how to get there, and we cherished our time with him greatly.
